Glover Memorial Hall: cultural programming and venue development continue into 2026

Glover Memorial Hall enters the fifth year of Lufodo Group's management under the Lagos State Government Public-Private Partnership concession with a programme that spans Lufodo-produced theatre, third-party commercial hires, corporate activations and heritage exhibition.

The 1887 Hall — one of Nigeria's oldest purpose-built cultural venues, and the site of the country's first public film screening in 1903 — was handed to Lufodo Group in January 2022 following a competitive bidding process. The concession covers ₦4 billion in cultural infrastructure.

Venue hire enquiries for corporate events, product launches, award ceremonies, theatre productions, film screenings and cultural festivals are handled directly by the Glover Memorial Hall team.
